Assignment : Permanent

Hours of work:  37.5 hours per week

Annual salary:  $115,030 - $128,661 per year

 

Your role

 

Do you want to carry out civil engineering work, in relation to feasibility studies, design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure (locks, bridges, spillway, building, roads, etc.) in order to ensure the reliability of the Seaway network? Your place could be among us!

Your responsibilities

 

  • Conduct or supervise inspections, assessments, feasibility studies, and various analysis related to the maintenance and operation of civil assets.
  • Conduct or supervise the completion of designs, specifications and plans and other technical documents for all replacement or repair work on the Corporation's infrastructure.
  • Act as technical leader during the implementation of civil engineering work.
  • Provide expert assistance in Civil Engineering on multidisciplinary projects and participate in the medium and long term planning of infrastructure maintenance.
  • Prepare budgets and manage expenses for projects under your responsibility.

 

Your profile

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec
  • At least five (5) years of relevant experience. Knowledge of the repair of engineering structures and/or knowledge of structures (buildings and engineering structures) an asset.
  • Knowledge of structural analysis software an asset (SAFI, ADA) or comparable software training possible.
  • Knowledge of design codes and standards (concrete, steel, bridge, CNB, MTQ).
  • Eligibility for security clearance during background check 
  • Availability to complete the medical test to meet physical requirements 
  • Ability to communicate in French and English 
  • Ease of working at height, at depth, near open water and/or in confined spaces 
  • Valid Class 5 (QC) driver's license and insurable driving record
