119 632 to $133 809

Your responsibilities

  • Coordinate various projects related to civil infrastructure, including bridges, dikes, roads, control structures, locks, buildings, telecom towers and underwater structures.
  • Conduct inspections, assessments, feasibility studies, and various analyses related to the maintenance and operation of civil assets.
  • Examine causes, consequences, frequency and operational risks of failures, make recommendations for corrective work, special inspections and complete the necessary follow-up.
  • Manage professional services mandates (rope-supported inspection, underwater diving, alkali-aggregate reaction monitoring instrumentation, technical services, etc.) and ensure budgetary follow-up.
  • Recommend regular maintenance and major remedial work, including cost estimates, execution timelines and follow up.
  • Ensure follow-up to the Inspection Program by leveraging personnel, equipment, external companies and any other activity that will be required to execute the work.
  • Participate in the implementation of a new asset management system, particularly for asset inspections and evaluations.
  • Act as an advisor to other departments on all matters relating to SLSMC's civil engineering structures.
  • Provide support to operational safety programs and initiatives.
  • Prepare budgets and manage expenditures within approved limits.

 

Your profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant civil engineering experience as a project manager in assessment, rehabilitation and inspection of civil structures including at least three (3) years in bridge engineering.
  • Sharp critical thinking, attention to detail, rigor, and ability to organize information in a clear and logical manner
  • Proficient in French and fluent in English, verbal and written, in order to communicate with the various partners
  • Proficiency in applicable computer applications, tools and related office software (Microsoft Office, SAP, etc.)
  • Valid Class 5 (QC) driver's license and insurable driving record
  • Ability to work outdoors, at height, at depth, near open water and/or confined spaces
