Assignment: Permanent
Salary: 110 526$ to 122 694$

Your role
By joining our team as a Total Compensation officer, you will play a key role in managing our compensation and benefits programs. You will oversee the administration of compensation, group insurance, and the defined benefit pension plan, ensuring that all programs comply with applicable federal legislation and collective agreements. Your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining equity, compliance, and the overall well-being of our employees.
Your responsibilities
- Analyze, develop, and recommend total compensation plans, policies, and programs, ensuring compliance with organizational directives and legal requirements;
- Implement mechanisms to ensure consistency in HR practices related to compensation, as well as in the job evaluation and classification system;
- Direct and coordinate strategic projects related to compensation, from the design phase through implementation;
- Direct initiatives aimed at raising employees’ awareness of, and fostering their understanding of, all total compensation programs;
- Plan and carry out activities related to the annual compensation cycle, the short-term incentive plan, and benefits programs;
- Guide the implementation of compensation programs to ensure internal equity;
- Manage relationships with third-party providers of certain benefits programs to ensure adherence to service agreements and maximize program offerings;
- Prepare reports, recommendations, and presentations for internal committees.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Labor Relations;
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in program design, development, and implementation, or in total compensation process improvement.
- Member in good standing of a professional human resources association in Quebec or Ontario (CRHA/CRIA or CHRP);
- Strong knowledge of current federal laws and regulations, in particular the Pay Equity Act and the Pension Benefits Standards Act.
- Strong experience in strategic analysis, and change management;
- Proficient in French and English, both spoken and written. This requirement reflects the nature of the position, which involves communication with teams based in Quebec and Ontario;
- Good knowledge of technological tools and HR systems;
- Frequent travel may be required, depending on project needs and locations;
