Your responsibilities

  • Develop, design, implement, oversee, and evaluate internal communications strategies, plans and programs to inform the employees about initiatives and other commercial activities.
  • Provide coaching, as needed, and support managers and supervisors regarding key messages and communications.

  • Work closely with senior management, departments and committees and guide them in developing strategies.

  • Support change management efforts within the Corporation.

  • Handle the internal website (intranet) and help Human Resources Department with the management of the Seaway Careers site. Ensure that key external and internal messages are aligned.

  • Gather documentation and do research to prepare communications directed at an internal audience.

  • Conduct employee opinion surveys to learn about the interests and concerns of different employee groups within the organization.

  • Handle logistics functions in connection with events and special projects, such as organizing meetings and other logistical aspects of the communications field.

 

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism or political science.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of practical experience in internal communications, primarily in an established business with multiple geographical locations.

  • Proficient in French and English verbal and written, in order to communicate with teams located in Quebec and Ontario.

  • Broad experience in writing communications materials.

  • Excellent knowledge of common computer tools used in the communications sector.

  • Experience in organizational development and as a “change agent” for major business challenges.
