Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week
Salary range: $124 410 to $139 152

Your responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections, assessments, feasibility studies, and various analyses.
  • Conduct and/or oversee the completion of designs, specifications and drawings for all assigned work, in accordance with Engineering principles, codes, standards and regulations.
  • Responsible for the delivery of all technical engineering deliverables/tasks to achieve project objectives within specified timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure the final commissioning and start up of all new works to a fully operating state.
  • Provide expert assistance in electrical engineering, and participate in the medium- and long-term planning of infrastructure maintenance.
  • Prepare budgets and manage expenditures within approved limits.
  • Provide support to operational safety programs and initiatives as required.
  • Ensure application of health, safety and environmental standards meet legislated requirements and company policy.


Your profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering
  • Member of Professional Engineer license in the Province of Ontario (PEO) 
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in the design, inspection, evaluation and rehabilitation of medium/high voltage power distribution equipment and systems; maintenance techniques and project management, including experience in troubleshooting in the manufacturing area.
  • Skills with distribution system metering and protection and controls devices.
  • Understanding of small electrical power plants (hydro-electric, etc.), arc flash protection, substations and transformers.
  • General understanding of budget management and financial controls.
  • Sharp critical thinking, attention to detail, rigor, and ability to organize information in a clear and logical manner.
  • Proficiency in applicable computer applications, tools and related office software (Microsoft Office, SAP, etc.).
  • Valid Class G (ON) driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors, at height, at depth, near open water and/or confined spaces.
