Assignment: Permanent
Hours of work: 40 per week

Salary:  Step 1: $46.74, Step 2*: $49.68 (*After the 90-day work probation period)

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Monitor asset status through sensors and other measurements in support of the maintenance program strategy.
  • Participate in analyzing the causes of alarms and alerts, as well as failures and performance issues.
  • Perform troubleshooting and adjustments with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Carry out troubleshooting, adjustments, maintenance, and minor repairs of equipment across all structures.
  • Provide input on asset performance and root cause analysis of breakdowns (field expertise).
  • Assist in the implementation of improvements.
  • Support reliability and maintenance engineering team.
  • Assist service providers with technical support.

 

Your Profile

 

  • College diploma in Electrical or Electronics Technology.
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of technical experience in a related field.
  • Eligible for Licence C/442A.
  • Knowledge of applicable procedures, rules, regulations, standards, and safe work practices related to job duties.
  • General understanding of electrical/mechanical drawings, specifications, plans, and layouts.
  • Strong troubleshooting and predictive equipment analysis skills (controls).
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and prepare quality sketches and drawings.
  • Ability to perform a variety of mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Valid Class G (ON) or Class 5 (QC) driver’s licence and insurable driving record.
  • Eligible for Marine Transportation Security Clearance.
  • Availability to undergo a medical test, functional abilities evaluation, and drug test.
  • Ability to work at heights, in depths, near open water, and/or in confined spaces.
