Location: St. Lambert, Quebec (CA-QC)
Assignment: Temporary
Hours of work: A minimum of 44 h every 2 weeks
Salary: Step 1: CAN32.52/hour to *Step 2: CAN35.04/hour (*after the 90 day probation period)

Your responsibilities

  • Perform activities related to the mooring and unmooring of vessels.
  • Carry out general maintenance tasks for the locks and assist with minor emergency repairs on lock equipment.
  • Conduct operations related to the facilities in compliance with applicable safety requirements.
  • Apply safe work practices in accordance with the organization’s safety programs and relevant legislation.

 

Your profile

  • Hold a high school diploma and have completed at least one year of post-secondary studies.
  • Valid Class G (Ontario) or Class 5 (Quebec) driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
  • Ability to communicate in English to ensure the safe passage of ships and boats through the Seaway.
  • Eligibility for Marine Transportation Security Clearance.
  • Ability to work on a rotating shift schedule and be on call as required.
  • Ability to work at heights, at depths, near open water, or in confined spaces.
  • Availability to undergo a medical examination, functional abilities evaluation, and drug test.
